Anime: Suzumiya Haruhi no Yūutsu (a.k.a. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya)
Characters (from left to right): Kyon's sister, Kyon, Yuki Nagato, Haruhi Suzumiya, Mikuru Asahina, Itsuki Koizumi. Here, the leader of the SOS-Dan (SOS-Brigade), Haruhi, exerts her influence upon Kyon and Mikuru. Itsuki and Kyons sister are praising (and worshipping her). Yuki is just reading. Here it is, the finished version of this picture (it was completed a while ago, but I did not have the chance to submit it). Much of the line-art and shading of the characters is done using vectors such as the pen tool with little use of the tablet. The background is a 3D render (yes, the railings and the buildings are all 3D models made from scratch - and the render took FOREVER). EDIT: What I meant by vectors is that for the characters I used the Pen Tool in Photoshop to trace over the line art that I did on paper and scanned for the computer. TIME: 2 Months (with intermittence) 涼宮ハルヒの憂鬱 (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya) ©2006 谷川 流・いとうのいぢ/SOS団 CommentsWow... the wonders of CG. I must say the pic is much better now that it is colored. The coloring is wonderful and feels very natural. The only problem is that the guy and the girl furthest to the right, both of their poses seem a bit... stiff. Otherwise, very nice!
-- Mum: Would you like to try a Hot Buttered Rum... without the rum? Me: So... a Hot Buttered Virgin? Both:... Me: No... wait... O my god.... you draw that? it is so bloody cute and nice! FAV!

If you do a composite of 3d-2d again, you might want to concentrate more on making the 3d tie in with the look of the anime shading. But otherwise, nice stuff.
