When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.

Anime: Kanon
Character: Nayuki Minase It's Nayuki running in high heels in all her glory... after all, this is what you expect from the captain and fastest runner of her high school track team. What happens if you take the (primary or) secondary heroine from the visual novel/anime called Kanon, take her out of the winter setting, and put her into an entirely new setting? The above picture should at least answer the gist of the question. Nayuki is depicted here running towards something or someone (perhaps you, the viewer) in her semi-formal wear that I came up with. The background depicts a fictional place located somewhere in the world that has a Mediterranean climate (which I also came up with). The character, textures, ocean, and sky were created in Photoshop. The 3D models that make up the stone and wrought iron fence were created in 3dsmax. EDIT #1: The brick pavement and walls now have texture. The long shadow actually blurs as it stretches farther and farther from the character. There will be more new edits to come... Comments Nice

Critiques
The shading on the skin is also very good and you have bared in mind where the lighting is and it matches her shadow. You can tell you have thought about that part carefully and it looks very good.
Improvements, i think that you need the background to have more texture to it to make this better. The colours look to bold and there is no real different to one part of the background and the colour. I think it would be a very amazing picture if you added the texture.
The gradient of the sky looks good.
One other improvement i would suggest is her hair, i think it needs to flow and look like it is moving more.
The colors are beautiful and the shading are very well done. One thing on the dress, the belly part has too much folds. She looks like she is way too skeletal. I think this part should be more flat so we can see she has a belly.
You are on the right way! Keep it up!
