Anime/Manga: Sola
Character: Matsuri Shihou
Here is the main female protagonist of the animated adaptation of the manga Sola, Matsuri Shihou. This time, she is armed with a sword as depicted in the series.
EDIT 1: I have finished the coloring phase of the foreground. I am currently working on the background, which will eventually be completed soon.
EDIT 2: I have finished the background. However, it may be revised in the future for fine tuning.
Drawn on 8.5 X11 inch paper with 0.05 mm mechanical pencil, then scanned to the computer. Foreground line-art and shades done in Photoshop. Background modeled and rendered in 3dsmax. Render time (background): ~20 minutes.

It was more or less a flawed adaptation, so to speak. Personally, the most awesome/important episodes were the last 3-4 episodes. The ending probably provided more questions than answers. However, there are the upcoming DVD episodes so the series is not technically over completely...
Well, one of the reasons why you see this picture this way is because Matsuri is one of my favorite characters, although I am slowly siding with Aono...
