Artist's Comments
A deviant who actively strives to improve his or her artistic ability and talent is referred to another deviant for advice. That deviant has a large number of favourites in his or her works, pageviews on his or her main webpage, and other deviants on his or her watchlist. Clearly, he or she appears well established and well renowned in dA.
Should the large number of favourites, pageviews, and watches of the famous deviant negatively impact the striving deviant's ability to seek advice from him or her? Only you can answer the above question to that. Hopefully this stamp will guide you and others to one. P.S. Commenting and/or faving also counts as answering the question. Comments
Very good point.
-- I highly recommend clicking here. I believe in Jesus Christ my Savior. If you do too and aren't scared to admit it then copy and paste this in your signature. I'll be honest, if something has more than a thousand favourites, I'll generally not favourite it unless it's truly outstanding work, if it has less, so long as I enjoy it, I'll favourite it.
A person with lots of favourites consistently will generally have a very established style that they're comfortable with while less favourites will generally be artists that are seeking more severe critique and advise (although that's generally lacking on DevArt all together). This isn't hard and fast, but it's the general trend. -- [link] [link] Approachability ftw.
...Of course, that doesn't mean spamming "popular" artists with obvious questions you can find in their FAQs or sucking up to them. All in all, treat artists as normal human beings, please. We like making new friends too. -- |
